The Junior Priscilla Club
The Junior Priscilla Club of Port Austin is a longstanding organization of dedicated women committed to making positive contributions to their community. Established in 1948, this group has a rich history of impactful projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in Port Austin and the surrounding Thumb area.
The club actively engages in various initiatives such as supporting the local library, beautifying the town with trees and flowers, and developing recreational spaces like the Children’s Playscape at Waterfront Park.
Since 2014, the Junior Priscilla Club has invested over $200,000 in community improvements with the help of grant funding.
Their diverse range of projects includes funding scholarships, supporting organizations like Safeplace, and contributing to village and chamber projects such as holiday lighting and the installation of essential equipment like defibrillators. Through numerous fundraising endeavors like cookbook sales, home tours, and events, the club sustains its mission of giving back and enriching the lives of those within their community.
